Liveaboard
- the Getaway for Relax and Chill Out
In
October 2003 I underwent a 6 ½ hours brain tumour removal
surgery and in November 2003 I shared my story with the public
through the Sunday Star to let the people be more aware about
brain tumour.
Doctors and scientists do not know the exact cause of brain
tumour but I believe it could be the tremendous stress and pressure
that I underwent in the past few years running out our businesses
which were in their infancy stage.
As a working woman, stress and pressure are doubly hard hitting
as I have to be an employer, a wife, a mother, a housekeeper
and also a daughter to aging parents.
After the surgery I followed my husband on a diving trip –
a Live-on-Board arrangement where for 2 nights and 2 days you
stay on board the boat which sails around to the desired dive
sites. The activities centered around diving or snorkeling.
It was such a relaxing experience that ‘Live On Board’
has become my way of distressing. As I was not recommended to
dive, I brought along bottles of wine, a couple of good book,
loose clothes, some good DVD's and favourite music CD's. With
a chef on board cooking 4 meals a day I got to wine and dine,
relax and chill out – amongst the splendid reefs, islands,
sunrises & sunsets, star studded night sky, and be one with
nature.'
