Visit the Elephant Conservation Farm at Kuala Gandah - only two hour's journey from Kuala Lumpur. Located in a beautiful tropical rainforest, the Elephant Sanctuary in an ambitious elephant conservation program implemented and managed by the Malaysian Wildlife Society, where you come into close contact with semi-wild elephants. Truly an exciting and never-to-be forgotten experience!

The Department of Wildlife and National Parks established Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre in 1989. The centre is a base for the Elephant Relocation Team, which began the elephant translocation programme in 1974.

The only one of its kind in Malaysia, the team is dedicated to locating, subduing and then translocating problem elephants from areas where their habitats are constantly being encroached by plantations.

As well as being a base for the translocation team and a home for a number of resident elephants, Kuala Gandah also aims to promote public awareness of the elephant’s plight in Malaysian and to support research into elephants translocation and conservation. Visitors are welcome throughout the year to join the elephant activities, help wash them in the nearby river and participate in feeding.

The centre also strives to educate the public about the importance of habitat and environmental preservation. visitors are encouraged to view a video on elephant translocation and special programme can be arranged for school groups.

Spend an exhilarating day with them, enjoy the rides, the thrill of "bathing" with the elephants at a nearby river, feeding them fruits, all under the watchful eye and supervision of their skilled trainers. An experience not to be missed! These specially trained and committed team of wildlife experts are dedicated to the protection and preservation of the Asian Elephants ("elephant maximus"). Visitors to this sanctuary will also get to enjoy a 30minutes documentary on the conservation activities and programs carried out by the team.

The Elephant
At present, Kuala Gandah house a number of elephant which were brought in from Thailand, India & Myanmar. The elephants are trained and used in translocation process of wild elephants in problem areas throughout Peninsular Malaysia. The centre also looks after orphaned elephants to ensure their continued survival.

Return details:	Tour concludes at approximately 4:00pm, with drop-off at your selected Kuala Lumpur city hotel between 6:00pm

Hotel Pickup:	Complimentary pick-up service available from Kuala Lumpur city hotel only (Tour does not pick up from hotels outside the city area, or hotels located near Kuala Lumpur International Airport). However, please advise pick-up point other than hotel in Kuala Lumpur city area.

2. Two sets of clothing - One 'Wet' set for the elephant bathing and river rides - long or short sleeved T-shirt; tights; long pant; short pant and anything comfortable. Another 'Dry' set for return.

ITINENARY for Elephant Sanctuary Tour


1.00pm	VIDEO SHOW: Visitors may view a video on issue surrounding wild elephants, diminishing habitat and translocation

2:15pm	ELEPHANT FEEDING & RIDING: Visitors are invited to ride and elephant around the centre. Visitors can participate in feeding the elephants, their foods are banana, carrot, papaya and etc.

2:30pm	BATHING: Visitors can join the elephants as they bathe and swim in the river under staff supervision.

3:45pm	VIDEO SHOW: Visitors may view a video on issues surrounding wild elephants, diminishing habitat and translocation. End of tour!

How to get there? By Car From Kuala Lumpur, proceed to Karak Highway, head to Kuantan, turn into Lanchang town center and take left turn into Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre. It's about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. By Bus Kuala Lumpur to Jengka Town, or Kuantan to Jengka town, from here you need to take local bus or charted taxi to the center. By Rail KTM Berhad provides train service to Bandar Jengka and Jerantut, from here you need to take local bus or charted taxi to the center. By Private Coach Just inform us which hotel or where you want to pick up. We will arrange the coach to pick you up and return. Rate differ from the pick-up point and number or people per coach. Please call us 03-22848928 to arrange a coach service for you. We also provides pick up from KLIA and LCCT airport, hotel, Thailand and Singapore.

Clients should note that an adventure trip involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to the action of clients which are beyond our control. A signed release or Indemnity Form will be required from all participants from Ballzaction Sportsmart Sdn Bhd and our guides if it is ask to.

Responsibility:
BallzAction, our drivers and guides reserve the right to make such alteration to departure and completion dates, reducing the extent of a trip, etc, that we deem necessary due to road, river or weather conditions or other conditions beyond our control including minimum safe running numbers, before and whilst on a trip.

Fitness, Health & Experience:
While good health and a positive mental attitude are essential. Ballzaction Sportsmart Sdn Bhd and our guides reserve the right to refuse to carry any client who is deemed to endanger the safe running of the trip.

Pregnant Guest: Advise us of the progress of their pregnancy at the point of participating in our event. Pregnancy more than 28 weeks MUST provide a doctor's certificate. However, we will refuse carriage for pregnancy 36 weeks and above.

Senior Citizen: Certified fit to travel by qualified doctors or physician.

Indemnity Form:
Each participants are required to sign an indemnity form if require by the Elephant Sanctuary Park before the tour begin.

Insurance:
Clients are advised to be insured. Most of our trip at currently are excludes the insurance coverage. However, we encourage clients/participants to be insured.

Photography/Videography:
All the photos/videos taken from the Elephant Sanctuary Park are STRICTLY NOT ALLOW to be use for advertisement in any media. All the photos/videos taken can be use for personal collection and memory purposes only.

Food and Transportation:
Client shall bear their own food and transportation.

Booking Guideline:
This activity best to book at least 2 weeks in advance from your travel date.
Confirmation for this product will be received at time of booking, unless you are booking within 1 month of activity date. In this case, confirmation will be received within 1 week before, subject to availability and weather permitted!

A maximum of 6 persons is available per event

Payment Condition:
Full payment must settles min. 1 week before the flying tour take place.

Deposit 50% of the total amount is required at the time of booking. In case of cancellation, 20% of the deposit will be forfeited (based on day(s) of cancel notice, else full refund). Balance payment to be made in 7 working days prior to departure of trip or every Thursday before 5pm as the cut off date for any booking.
Payment should be by cash or cross cheque to Ballzaction bank account.
No Refund will be entertained in case of NO SHOW or UN-USED Service without informing Ballzaction in advance with minimum 48 hours before the trip.
Postponement notice must be provided by BallzAction or our guides due to bad weather or high risks is unavoidable, all payment will be transferred to a later date agreed by both parties.
Postponement notice from participants must be provided by fax or in writing within 2 working days prior to departure for day trip and 14 working days for multiple days trip to qualifiy for an alternative date. Maximum to one time postpone notice allowed from customers / participants. Full refund will be entertained to participant who agreed and bound to our terms and conditions.
Once payment made. Participants will received a Confirmation Letter from Ballzaction. Only booking with confirmation letter consider as VALID booking (Please insist of Confirmation letter once you made the payment).
