Kampar River, Perak (Beginners Level)
Another popular whitewater hotspot, Sg Kampar offers mainly grade 1 to 2 rapids. During the extreme dry season we consider this river too shallow to riverboard. Each run is estimated at between 55 to 90 minutes. Riverboarders will have 2 runs on the river. Kampar is a pleasant bruising encounter with nature and an exhilarating ride and an excellent introduction to riverboarding. Distance is 6k and includes 10 sets of rapids.

Riverboarding Guide Ratio: 7 participants : 1 Guide
Each participant will be supplied with a Wetsuit, PFD, Helmet, Fins, Booties and a Riverboard for this adventure trip (total 6 items).
 Lunch will provide at the end of the trip also cool drinks/snacks where it is possible.
Provide a copy of CD contain pictures taken during the Riverboarding activity (only on second run the picture will be taken by our guide)

 Safety:
Safety briefing will be conducted on land before the participants enter the water and then further instruction is conducted in the water before we set of for the adventure trip. All our guides carry throw bags and wear PFDs which are designed for swift water rescue in order to carry two persons should the need arise. If we detect that a participant cannot safely accomplish the test rapid then we will request the participant not to continue the journey and refund in full to him/her.

What to Wear & Bring

1. A POSITIVE, FRIENDLY ATTITUDE & GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR!!
2. Two sets of clothing - One 'Wet' set for the riverboarding - long or
    short sleeved T-shirt; short pant and anything comfortable. Another
    'Dry' set for return. Jeans are not welcome!
3. River sandals or sport shoes.
4. Straps for spectacles or goggles for contact lenses
5. Towel or Sarong
6. Sun Screen Lotion and Basic Toiletries

 ITINENARY for RiverBoarding in Sungai Kampar
8:30am Participants meet up our Riverboarding Guide at Gopeng Toll Exit (On Left)
9:00am Participants arrive at Adelaines Resort and are kitted out with safety equipment.
9:30am Safety Briefing and in water test for rapid and live instructions
10:00am Commence Riverboarding adventure trip
11:30am Arrive at Pull-Out point
12:00pm Return to Put-In point for cold refreshment
12:15pm Second run for Riverboarding adventure trip. Photography taking session during riverboarding
1:45pm Arrive at Pull-Out point
2:15pm Arrive Adelaines for Lunch
3:30pm Short Presentation by guide and possibel passing the pictures CD to group organiser. Trip over and participants can head for home.




























 
How to get there?
By Car  
Kampar is about 100 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur. Just follow the PLUS Highway until the Gopeng Toll Exit. Turn off at Gopeng and then turn right at the traffic lights after exiting the NSE. Meet us opposite the Petronas which will be on your right as you turn right after the traffic lights. We will guide you the rest of the way in.

 Just inform us which hotel or where you want to pick up. We will arrange the coach to pick you up and return. Rate differ from the pick-up point and number or people per coach. Please call us 03-22848928 to arrange a coach service for you. We also provides pick up from KLIA and LCCT airport, hotel, Thailand and Singapore.
