Whitewater Riverboarding

Ulu Slim River, Perak (Intermediate River)
A new whitewater hotspot, Sg Ulu Slim offers mainly grade 2 – 3 rapids. Each run is estimated at between 90 to 120 minutes. Riverboarders will have a package of runs down this river - see below. This river technically tough ride down a narrow river with each rapid only being some 150 meters apart. We recommend that you have passed through Sungai Kampar first before trying this little unknown jem. Its a pleasant and slightly bruising encounter with nature and an exhilarating ride and an excellent intermediate riverboarding adventure.

Riverboarding Guide Ratio: 5 participants : 1 Guide
Each participant will be supplied with a Wetsuit, PFD, Helmet, Fins, Booties and a Riverboard for this adventure trip (total 6 items).
 Lunch will provide at the end of the trip also cool drinks/snacks where it is possible.
Provide a copy of CD contain pictures taken during the Riverboarding activity (only on second run the picture will be taken by our guide)

 Safety:
Safety briefing will be conducted on land before the participants enter the water and then further instruction is conducted in the water before we set of for the adventure trip. All our guides carry throw bags and wear PFDs which are designed for swift water rescue in order to carry two persons should the need arise. If we detect that a participant cannot safely accomplish the test rapid then we will request the participant not to continue the journey and refund in full to him/her.

What to Wear & Bring

1. A POSITIVE, FRIENDLY ATTITUDE & GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR!!
2. Two sets of clothing - One 'Wet' set for the riverboarding - long or
    short sleeved T-shirt; short pant and anything comfortable. Another
    'Dry' set for return. Jeans are not welcome!
3. River sandals or sport shoes.
4. Straps for spectacles or goggles for contact lenses
5. Towel or Sarong
6. Sun Screen Lotion and Basic Toiletries

 ITINENARY for RiverBoarding in Slim River
8:30am Participants meet up our Riverboarding Guide at Tanjung Malim Toll Exit (On Left)
9:00am Participants arrive at Kampung Ulu Slim Resort and are kitted out with safety equipment.
9:30am Safety Briefing and transfer to 4X4 for trip to Put-In point
10:30am Participants brief for final instructions before riverboarding adventure commences
12:30am Arrive at Pull-Out point
1:00pm Return to Put-In point for cold refreshment and lunch
2:30pm Short Presentation by guide and possibe passing the pictures CD to group organiser.
4:00pm Trip over and participants can head for home.









 
How to get there?
By Car  
Ulu Slim is about 45 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur. Turn off at Tanjum Malim and wait at the exit for our friendly guide to guide you the remaining 30K to the waiting 4WD vehicles to take u to the put in point. River distance is 3.8K and includes 24 sets of rapids.

By Private Coach
 Just inform us which hotel or where you want to pick up. We will arrange the coach to pick you up and return. Rate differ from the pick-up point and number or people per coach. Please call us 03-22848928 to arrange a coach service for you. We also provides pick up from KLIA and LCCT airport, hotel, Thailand and Singapore.
