Introduction of Sphereing

A few years ago a TV advertisement aired in New Zealand showing people inside a large clear balls floating on water. It Inspired Andrew Akers and Dwane van der Sluis to build their own giant plastic balls. It looked like lots of fun but their balls was made of only one layer of plastic causing problems. Everytime someone entered or exited the balls, it would deflate and needed to be re-inflated and sealed.

The idea for a double skin balls was born.

A prototype was built in the garage of Andrew's house and they tested it in the water but soon realized it was far more intense on land where they could roll down hills! Some seed capital, patents, trademarks and a business plan equaled the latest adventure sport in New zealand!

"Sphereing ride is not that serious ... " says Akers, "The experience is bizarre, funny and exhilarating. The most common reaction inside the Sphereing is screams of laughter - people exit from the Sphereing with massive smiles on their faces and tears of joy in their eyes."

There are many affiliates in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course New Zealand, but nothing going on in the Malaysia yet so this is our call out to those who keen to ride Sphereing. Here's an IDEA - be the first Malaysian to ride. Currently we started in 30 June 2007 and operate in Lake Garden as a foundation and get started. We still finding for the ultimate location with weather allowing us to rides both wet and dry all year round. We can't wait!

An Sphereing is a BIG, fat, 3 ½ metre huge inflatable balls, round and bouncy, you jump inside it, it rolls and so do you. Excited – you should be as the ride begins with a drive to the top of Park hill, then enter the Sphereing and be launched down the hill.

There are two different ways to ride in a Sphereing, one involves getting wet and one doesn’t, simple!! Water in the Sphereing is to make the surface slippery so you slide and rotate with the Sphereing. The Harness experience is designed as a more extreme ride as you are rotating.

Ride in a (Dry) Sphereing

2 riders is strapped into a comfortable padded harness for the ride into down speed hill track. A “dry” ride means no water however you will be rotating with the Sphereing.

Ride in a (Wet) Sphereing

This is the most challenging and adrenalin packed ride where 2 riders is strapped inside the Sphereing and water is added in with you. A wild ride with water rushing past you as you rotate through the water flying down a hill. (Definitely for thrill seekers and not for the faint hearted).

Safety:
Safety briefing will be conducted on land before the participants enter the Sphereing. Participant must follow all safety instruction. No shoe, ring and any sharp metal thing are allow inside the Spehereing.

What to Wear & Bring
1. A POSITIVE, FRIENDLY ATTITUDE & GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR!!
2. Two sets of clothing - One 'Wet' set for the wet ride - long or short
sleeved T-shirt; long pant; short pant and anything comfortable.
Another 'Dry' set for change.
3. Straps for spectacles or goggles for contact lenses
4. Towel to clean
5. Sun Screen Lotion and Basic Toiletries

Lake Garden 91.6 hectare of parks and gardens at the heart of Kuala Lumpur established in 1888. The gardens incorporate the National Monument, Deer park, Butterfly Park , Bird Park, Carcosa Seri negara, The Forest Research Institute, Orchid garden and Hibiscus garden. Hare also have children's playground, jogging tracks and exercise stations.

Taman Tasik Perdana, better known as the Lake Gardens, is the oldest and most popular park in Kuala Lumpur. It lies just on the edge of the city and used to be where the British elite built their fine homes in the colonial times, away from the hurly burly of downtown commerce and people of other races.

Entrances to the Lake Gardens are on Jalan Parlimen and behind the National Mosque (near KTM Train Station).

By Private Coach
Just inform us which hotel or where you want to pick up. We will arrange the coach to pick you up and return. Rate differ from the pick-up point and number or people per coach. Please call us 03-22848928 to arrange a coach service for you.

Terms and Conditions

For reservations and info for the Sphereing Rides, please email to enquiry@ballszaction.com or call us to enquires for the rides. If you have a group of 10 people then you have the sufficient people to book the ride, else you can send or call us to join you in other group. Sphereing Rides now fix on 2 rides per month. Use use other weekend to reserve for corporate event booking. Sphereing Rides are based on land and weather permitted.

Below are our terms, condition and policies for Sphereing Rides booking and cancellations, no shows, refunds, and reschedule.

Full payment make before ride start. Last payment date is on Thursday prior to the week of riding.

Refund for course only if there is bad weather or unforeseen circumstances or reschedule.

A full refund shall be given to the client who calls us to cancel any course (hereafter referred to as "activity" or "activities") at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled activity. All activities shall be subject to a full cancellation fee if cancelled in less than the 24 hours.

All activities may be rescheduled for the same activity to another suitable day without penalty with at least 12 hours notification by ballsz.

No-shows are clients who do not cancel but who miss their activity for any reason. No-shows will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee and shall not be entitled to any refund.

All refunds for activities shall be made within 7 days from date of cancellation. Refunds will be processed upon original receipt. Activities already taken are nonrefundable.

Valid to anyone who age is 10 and above, height minimum 5ft tall and in good health condition or guardian accompany. Maximum weight allowed is 80kg!

BallzAction and its partners, instructors, management and its staff shall under no circumstances whatsoever be liable for any injuries or loss or damage to students participating in the Sphereing Rides (Liability Release Form will be signed by participants).

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to weather and land permitted, availability of guides or unforeseen circumstances.

Insurance will not be covered from the package. Student must have their own insurance coverage.

Ballzaction reserve the right to change the rate and schedule without prior notice.
