SIPADAN WATER VILLAGE RESORT

Sipadan Water Village is a resort beautifully constructed with Bajau architectural design. Part of the Mabul Island is also home to groups of Bajau fishermen who have built their traditional palm thatched houses. The Bajau Laut, the world's only tribe of nomadic sea gypsies spends their lives on the water. Over the years, some have entered a transition from sea nomadic to sedentary village life at a former major anchorage site such as Mabul.

Despite what the name suggests, Sipadan Water Village is NOT in Sipadan but on the nearby island of Mabul, on the east coast of Sabah. In fact, by the end of 2004, resorts are not allowed operate on Sipadan Island and those who wish to dive there have to find alternative accommodation in the neighbouring islands. It is called a "water village" simply because of the fact that the entire resort is built in pilings and connects to the shore by a long pier.

Location: Mabul is located on the east coast of Sabah, north east of Sipadan

The weather here is tropical and humid. Temperature here ranges from 28 to 34 degrees Celsius and the monsoon period starts in December and goes through to February.

Tip: bring some warm clothes as is can get rather chilly at night, particularly during the rainy season.

Best times: Diving in Sipadan is all year round. However, the best time is between March and October. Water temperature depending on the season, water temperature ranges from 26 degrees Celsius to approximately 28 degrees

There are a total of 39 cottages: 4 Grand Deluxe, 2 Deluxe, 27 Standard, and 6 Junior. These cottages are built on wooden stilts over the Celebes Sea. Each has a private sundeck and deck chairs. The cottages include ceiling fan, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, and private shower with hot and cold water.

The resort provides 24-hour staff on call, airport transfers, babysitting services, resort Medical Services, a full-service Dive Center, foreign currency exchange, a resort mini-mart, and travel and tour desk. The main restaurant serves daily buffets for guest featuring a variety of Asian and Continental cusines. An open-air bar and lounge provides a breath taking sea-view, piped music and videos for guest entertainment.

Deposit is required upon confirmation and all payments made are non refundable in part or in full.

In the event of no show, rooms will be automatically released and deposit will be forfeited.
The company accepts no liabilities for losses incurred due to failure to connect with other services management and cannot be held liable for loss of baggage or personal belongings, illness, injury or death resulting from activities in which are beyond our control.
 The customer are advised to insure their own insurance coverage.
 Customers are also fully responsible to any damage to the resort property.
 Management reserves the right to alter, amend, delete or add to the conditions or withdraw the package at any time without prior notice.
Divers are require to sign a liability release & express assumption of risk form. Dive Master reserve the right to exclude uncertified or unfit divers from diving.
 Dive master may at his discretion cancel diving activities due to unsafe condition and poor weather.

 Diver are not allowed to dive within a minimum of 12 hours prior to flying (recommended by PADI).
 A CANCELLATION fee of 25% of the total room price or package billing will be imposed on any cancellation made 7 days or less prior to arrival date
 NO REFUND will be made in whole or in part for any unused days or unconsumed food at the Resort resulting from late arrival or departure. Confirmed guests who does not show up will be charged in full and no refund will be made for whatever reasons
REVISION of rates is subject to resort discretion and with prior notice
 Full payment must be made payable to Ballzaction Sportsmart Sdn Bhd at least 3 weeks prior to arrival date
 Payment can be in the form of cheques/bank draft. Fax bank transaction slips/documents to us at 03-2284 8908 as confirmation of payment
