Slim River - PerakWhite Water Rafting activities at Sungai Slim in the region of Slim River, Perak with a travelling time by road approx. 1 to 1½ hours drives from Kuala Lumpur.

Rafting distance of Sg Slim is approximately 6 kilometer with rapids from Class 1 to Class 3. Sg Slim rapids are Cascading versions and usually ends in a shallow pool. The river is rocky with numerous narrow channels and tight turns thus we termed the run as 'Creeking Run'. With a Gradient of about 1:6, the water flow is about 5 ft/sec on an average water level and is cold to Malaysian standard. Water can be clear but turn slightly murky if it rain.

Riverine flora is superb with ferns, orchids, mosses, etc….as we are in the Ulu Slim Forest Reserve. As we approach Kampung Bersih, (Take Out), participants will come across Orang Asli Kids playing in the river. They are from the Temiar and the Semai tribe.

Participants will enjoy white water rapids and invigorating river environment. The trip includes Rafting equipments, Experienced guides, Group First Aid kit, On River Snacks and end of run Lunch.

Safety:
Safety briefing will be conducted on land before the participants enter the water and then further instruction is conducted in the water before we set of for the adventure trip. All our guides carry throw bags and wear PFDs which are designed for swift water rescue in order to carry two persons should the need arise. If we detect that a participant cannot safely accomplish the test rapid then we will request the participant not to continue the journey and refund in full to him/her.

What to Wear & Bring 1. A POSITIVE, FRIENDLY ATTITUDE & GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR!!
2. Two sets of clothing - One 'Wet' set for the river rafting - long or short
sleeved T-shirt; tights; long pant; short pant and anything
comfortable. Another 'Dry' set for return. Jeans are not welcome!
3. River sandals or sport shoes with lace.
4. A pair of sock is recommended if using sport shoes
5. Personal medication and craving
6. Straps for spectacles or goggles for contact lenses
7. Towel or Sarong
8. Sun Screen Lotion and Basic Toiletries

ITINENARY for Sungai Slim


9:00am	Meet our rafting guide representative at Tanjung Malim Toll Exit and then proceed to Kampung Ulu Slim. From here participants will be transferred to the "Put-In" (Kuala Tibang) on 4WD which takes about 20 minutes.

10:30am	Allocations of all rafting equipments (Helmet / PFD / Paddles), followed by detail briefing on safety and procedures of white water rafting for about 15-20 minutes. Participants will be divided into grouping of maximum 6 persons per raft. The run will take about 2.5 hours - 3 hours depending on group size.

4:00pm	(Approx) Arrival at the "Take Out" points (Kampung Bersih) where participants will be transferred back on 4WD to Kampung Ulu Slim (about 10 minutes ride) to have shower and lunch before departing back to destination of origin.

How to get there?

By Car
Just follow the PLUS Highway until the Tanjung Malim Toll Exit . Approx. 65 min or 1 hour 30 drive from KL.

By Private Coach
Just inform us which hotel or where you want to pick up. We will arrange the coach to pick you up and return. Rate differ from the pick-up point and number or people per coach. Please call us 03-22848928 to arrange a coach service for you. We also provides pick up from KLIA and LCCT airport, hotel, Thailand and Singapore.
